Things aren't clicking right now thats for sure. Can't help but think its also because he have really high expectations from last season. I think at this point though, we are still doing better than we did last year. Thats at least reassuring. The problem really is the huge disparity on the scoreboard when we are on and when we are off. Consistency is again the biggest problem which I account to the fact that this team is still mentally fragile and weak. When hit with a little adversity, we completely collapse and fail to execute anything. IMO, a lot of this responsibility falls on leadership...more to point, McDonagh. He's young, but as the Captain, he needs to lead by example on the ice. He needs to be the rock to stabilize effort and performance on ice. He needs to eliminate the doubt in his teammates' minds when they execute plays. He's gotta create confidence. Not exactly the best first year as captain in my book. |

Was at the game last night in the best seats I've ever had..Absolutely clear these teams hate each other based on last years playoffs.
Can't deny it was a great game with chances back and forth throughout the night, but that softy by Hank left every Ranger fan in the Garden in silence. I had an older couple from Montreal behind me, and even they were just like damn that's not right.
Give credit to the Garden fans tho, Subbans head was demanded on a platter |

Carolina lost in a shootout last night, long game. Had to travel to freezing cold NY after game, then play the Rangers tonight.
They should be a tired team, they are out of it already, nothing acceptable other than blowing them out of the arena tonight. |

if Subban and Kreider focus on each other all game, that's a benefit to the Rangers. |

Yea, but according to the Canes fanbase they are playing their best hockey in years right now. Rangers better come out flying. |

Subban was waaaaaay more effective in the game than Krieder was after so PK won the mental battle too. Not too hard to do with Krieder, but I digress. |

He's letting in the soft ones now so he gets them out of the way before the playoffs start. - mdw7413
Can't knock the goalie when you lose 1-0.
Kreider leads your team in PIM. Kid needs to stay out of the box and concentrate on offense. Where's the player from two years ago who got called up and kicked ass (scoring-wise) in the playoffs? |

The death of his grandfather in the beginning of the season really affected him. He pretty much said that in an interview. He has been picking it up recently. Problem with him is, as soon as a ref talks to him he pretty much disappears. He has to learn to just play his game and basically tell the refs to (frank) off. |

If he's so easy to get off his game the Canadiens would have done a better job of it until now. |

They better at least change up the lines a bit. Things are stale right now. Knowing AV though, I expect to see the same lines and roster for tonight |

No skate today because of afternoon college basketball, so the ice should be pretty awful tonight |

Carolina is 7-2-2 over their last 11. I expect nothing less than a W but it's going to be a tough game. |

The Rangers are currently 8th in the conference but are on pace for 103 points. That's insane. |

Miller in for Stempniak...Miller will also be on the 2nd powerplay unit
Also sounds like there might be a small change to the lines as well |
